Student Athletics

Bearcat Pride

St. Luke students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities, including a variety of sports. Although student involvement is voluntary, almost 90% of grade-eligible students participate on a Bearcat sports team. All students in grades 4 through 8 are encouraged and allowed to participate in our no-cut athletics program. Whether a student wants to try a new sport or make new friends by participating on a school team, our Athletics program is designed to offer a place to play, compete, grow, and connect.

Developing Talent. Building Character.

St. Luke School’s athletic program emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, as well as team and individual growth. Competing as an athlete helps individuals learn responsibility and to work hard while developing good character, self-discipline, and time management skills. Helping our athletes to build a positive self-image encourages a sense of pride in themselves, their classmates, and their school. Athletes will learn how to set and strive for individual and team goals which will help mold them into strong athletes and teammates.

At St. Luke, we have high expectations for our athletes to show and uphold fairness, respect for athletes, opponents, and referees. Athletes are expected to display graciousness in winning or losing. Having good sportsmanship is extremely important to show before, during and after sporting events.
